This program will prepare you to design, build, implement and maintain complex computer and software solutions that are efficient, reliable and secure. The degree’s emphasis is on artificial intelligence (AI) in solving software engineering problems. Courses focus on software engineering criteria in the areas of mathematics, natural sciences, engineering design and engineering science.  

Your studies will include two mandatory, co-operative, four-month work-integrated learning experiences — one between semesters 6 and 7 and another between semesters 7 and 8. In your final year of the program, you will choose from Professional Option courses such as robotics, parallel programming and computer vision. You will also undertake a substantial industry-driven group project.

Mandatory Degree Co-op
A work experience that includes at least one term in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a paid position that is completed between two academic semesters and requires a minimum of 420 hours of work. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the co-op work term(s) is required for graduation. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the mandatory co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Built on partnerships with industry experts like Cisco, IBM, and Microsoft, our curriculum prepares students to specialize in security, physical and logical network design, as well as enterprise management. This program is comprised of practical courses focusing on hands-on training with computer programs in specialty labs.

Optional Co-op

In most cases the work term(s) is a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters.  In programs with limited co-op opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility.  Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

This three-year advanced program allows you to explore your creative potential as you learn in-depth design research, craftsmanship, and industry-oriented production skills for your profession in the fashion industry.

Field Placement
Field Placement is a valuable component of the Fashion Arts program and is a requirement for graduation.

You will develop skills and knowledge in the core areas of hospitality industry, such as food preparation, service leadership, food safety and sanitation, food theory and practice, guest services and customer relations, and dining room service. The art of floral design requires expertise with colour, materials, shape and space. Floral designers must understand how flowers and foliage become tools to achieve the right arrangement for the occasion. Through active, hands-on learning experiences in the floral lab, you will understand how to integrate theory and practice to produce the perfect design.

You will demonstrate skills through a capstone project for an industry partner in your final year to demonstrate your skills and preparedness for a career in the industry. Graduates of this program will enter the industry with highly employable programming, database, software development and communications skills.

In this two-year diploma program, you will learn to use the latest computer software to assist in the manufacturing of production tools. You will learn and gain valuable skills in conventional manufacturing technologies, computer production and design along with prototyping techniques and quality control. You will have the opportunity to experience the practical production considerations of tool design as you gain experience in a fully equipped machining lab.

This 12-month graduate certificate program is a fast-track option for four-year degree graduates to pursue a career in accounting wishing to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation. You will study financial and management accounting, tax, information systems, audit, finance and economics focusing on analysis and interpretation of information and making sound ethical decisions.

You will be introduced to the modern technological environment of business using spreadsheets (Excel), database software (Access) and integrated database application technologies (ERP) through exposure to accounting software package(s). You will also gain industry exposure through research, case studies and projects.
