Student will study the interrelationship between human physiology and anatomy with respect to movement. The exercise science degree includes the understanding of the integration of structure and function of the human systems (e.g. musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, etc.) and the changes or adaptations causes by physical activity/exercise. 

he 4 Year BA in Indigenous Studies is more appropriate than the 3 Year BA in Indigenous Studies for preparing the student for graduate school. It allows flexibility of choice for students who want to sample a wide variety of courses; to develop a stronger understanding of Indigenous issues, peoples, and policies; and who wish to develop their skills in critical reading, writing, and thinking. Students will gain knowledge on Indigenous cultures, particularly Canada, much of it wish can be applicable in work situations in band, provincial, national and international settings as well as with non-profit and for-profit organizations.  It can be successful paired with any number of other majors – Indigenous Studies and Criminal Justice; Indigenous Studies and Politics, for example.

Because this program offers much freedom of choice, it is important for students to think carefully about their interests and goals when choosing courses. The study of Geography is concerned with the Earth's surface in two ways - as the science of interaction between natural elements of the environment, such as weather, plants, soils and landforms; and secondly, as the science of the distribution and activities of the Earth's population in response to various social and environmental factors. Systematic studies in Geography examine the locations, distributions, arrangement, and association of a group of interrelated features. In contrast, regional studies examine the totality of geographic phenomena in a particular area. No matter what approach is taken, there are certain skills and techniques that are of particular geographic relevance.

As a reflection of the diversity that exists within the study of Geography and the special skills required, the Department offers courses within three fields of study - Cultural Geography, Physical Geography and Geomatics. You may attain either the General or Four-year Bachelor's degree in either Arts or Science, as well as the B.A. or B.Sc.Honours degree.

Geography offers a considerable variety of career opportunities. High schools require a continuing supply of Geography teachers. Various federal and provincial agencies dealing with conservation, town planning, recreation, landscape architecture and the utilization of Canada's resource also provide opportunities, especially to those with Honours or graduate work in Geography. Undergraduate training in the subject is often required for certain business careers, especially in surveying, market assessment, and location and general commercial development.

Women's and Gender Studies seeks to foster awareness and appreciation of the realities and diverse experiences of women. You’ll develop critical consciousness of social inequalities affecting women, including those based on gender, age, race, class, disability and sexual orientation.

The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health at The University of Winnipeg is student-centred with small classes and labs and accessible professors. In the broadest sense, sociology is the study of human interactions and inter-relations, their conditions and consequences

By utilizing a combination of theory, research, and lived experience, sociologists explore human behaviour as it occurs over time and across cultures. They ask questions such as: Why is there poverty? Is there a relationship between delinquency and social class? How do immigrants manage new and diverse experiences? What effect will an aging population have on society? How can class, sex, gender, age, and ethnicity be understood as part of social life?

In The University of Winnipeg's Sociology programme, you will investigate and analyze how various groups and organizations are structured, their purposes, and how they function. You will study how and why they change, and the effects of these changes on society.

The currency, variety, and depth of courses in this discipline allow students to develop a sound understanding of how the social world works, and how this knowledge can be applied to a diversity of pursuits.

The Sociology Department offers 3-year BA, 4-year BA, and Honours degree programmes plus a Minor and Research Methods Certificate. A student whose Major lies in a different area may still study Sociology as an elective. Courses in Sociology complement such areas as Politics, History, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, Women's and Gender Studies, and Environmental Studies. Some interdisciplinary majors also require certain Sociology courses as part of their programmes.

An undergraduate degree in Sociology enables one to pursue a variety of vocations in areas such as social welfare, criminal justice, government, research, industrial relations, and administration. Provincial and federal government offices hire a large number of persons with a Sociology background. For those who wish to proceed to studies at the graduate level, a career in university teaching and research is also an option.

Sample Program
This is only one example of one possible path through the program. Students should normally begin with  2102 and 2002 and then take 3101. After that, they may take CW courses in any order.  Paths will differ, depending on students' interests, the number of courses they take each year, and which courses are offered in any given year. Chemists are at the forefront of unravelling the mysteries of the most complex chemical systems. If you’re interested in understanding the structure of matter and how it behaves on a molecular level, you may be drawn to the field of chemistry. In Applied Chemistry, you can choose from either a traditional program or a co-operative option that integrates academic studies with 12 months of paid work experience in chemistry-related positions.

This program gives you an opportunity to study the rich heritage of the Mennonites and their contribution to society. Mennonite Studies is an interdisciplinary program that combines studies in history, religion, culture, and literature as they relate to Mennonites.

A major in Mennonite Studies focuses on the Mennonites' culture of nonviolence, history of migration, and struggle to define themselves as an ethno-religious group.

Stream C is a joint program offered by the University of Winnipeg (UW) and Red River College (RRC) or the Université de St. Boniface (USB). By combining the resources of both UW and either RRC or USB, students are able to earn both a two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and a three-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Developmental Studies (Child Development and Child Care) in a four-year period of full-time study. Graduates of this stream are eligible for the highest classification: Early Childhood Education (ECE) III from the Manitoba Department of Families (Early Learning and Child Care Program). The UW offers the only degree-granting professional program in Early Childhood Education in Manitoba.

Stream C prepares graduates for a variety of positions, including child-care specialists who function as centre directors, supervisors and early childhood educators; and staff specializing in programs for the developmentally delayed and care for children with additional learning needs
