Many of our graduates are entrepreneurs or are CEOs and presidents of start-ups. Others have careers with banks and investment firms; marketing and communications firms; law firms (some are partners); government (either in the public service or as elected officials) and government agencies; and accounting firms.

Areas of specialization

• Concentration in Venture Commercialization, Scaling, and Investment: UNB's Faculty of Management is a hub for entrepreneurial learning. Work with a real-life start-up and learn how to launch a business; then work with real venture capitalists to learn how to assess whether a start-up is investment-ready.
• Concentration in Management Analytics: Increased digitization is drastically changing the way organizations operate, creating a huge need for graduates who are tech savvy and capable of making sense of the vast amount of data available. The ability to analyze data, make sense of it, and use it to the competitive advantage of organizations is a skill that is increasingly in high demand. Gain a valuable skill set to help your organizations make better decisions. 
• MBA in Sport and Recreation Management: Combine the MBA with your interests in Sport and Recreation Management and prepare for a career in professional or amateur sports, not-for-profit organizations, a recreation facility, resort or park. 

Russian and Eurasian Studies is an interdisciplinary major and minor program administered by a committee drawn from the departments involved in the program. Interested students should first contact the Director who is the representative from the Russian section of the Department of Culture and Language Studies.

PROGRAMS OF STUDY

• Major in Russian and Eurasian Studies
  • A major in Russian and Eurasian Studies shall consist of a minimum of 30 ch of advanced level courses relating to Russia and the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. To qualify to enter this program, students must first have satisfactorily completed 6 ch in the Russian language at the introductory level (RUSS 1013 and RUSS 1023 ) and 6 ch at the intermediate level (RUSS 2013 and RUSS 2023). The 30 ch for the Major will be selected from the list below and must meet the following requirements:

Physics is the most fundamental natural science, It examines basic concepts such as energy, force, and spacetime, and all that derives from these, such as mass, charge, matter and its motion. More broadly, it is the general analysis of nature, conducted in order to understand how the world and universe behave.

Physicists want to really understand how the world works and the applied physics degree focuses on developments that depend on that understanding. The applied physics program incorporates practical physics courses (for example with applications in the energy and the electronics sectors), and allows room for electives in other Faculties such as Engineering and Computer Science.

The Film Studies Minor offers students from all faculties the opportunity to study film (and video) from a variety of perspectives, including theory, history, and analysis, as well as a range of topics around national cinemas and genres, among others. In addition, students have the opportunity to study film from creative and practical perspectives in production and other practice-driven courses as well as creative writing for the screen. By specializing in Human Resources Management with an honours or concentration, you will learn how to attract, motivate, and retain the right people for your organization. You’ll also learn how to establish workplace ethics, codes of conduct, training programs, employee handbooks, and reward programs and how to consult with top executives about policy and planning.

Creative writing is available as an option within the English Honours or Majors program. Students in the Creative Writing program must complete the normal English major requirements with courses from relevant creative writing areas.

Bachelor of Arts
The Creative Writing program is available as a major, minor, double major or honours option as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree. Arts is a four-year degree that covers a broad range of subject areas concerned with the study of human beings and the evolution and nature of global societies, ideas, and institutions.

In your first two years of Arts, you will select courses in fields like humanities, languages, social sciences as well as science and business to provide you with a broad foundation for advanced study in your chosen subject area during the final two years.

An English degree helps you develop transferable, functional skills such as writing, critical thinking and communication that employers and most work situations require. Concentrating your studies in a major allows you to gain specific transferable skills, such as those below, which are attractive to particular employers and industries.
