M.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology course is a masters’ level course for students keen to gain expertise in procedures for diagnostic testing in a laboratory. The course helps them analyze and identify substances, and microorganisms using common instruments found in a laboratory. Students are given in-depth knowledge of Chemistry, Human Biology, Organic Chemistry, Haematology, Bacteriology and Medical Technology and practical sessions in laboratory procedures, analysing various substances including glucose, enzymes, electrolytes, spectrometer, laboratory mathematics, and clinical applications.

B.A.LL.B. course provides the students a great opportunity to explore the theoretical & practical knowledge of this field. Periodontology is the dental specialty that focuses on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gingiva, or “gums” and other surrounding tissues. The Department of Periodontology & Oral Implantology educates the under graduate students in the didactic and clinical applications necessary to perform the entire spectrum of periodontal procedures. The department includes MDS programme which is a three-year program with an intake capacity of 5 students per year. The department also includes the Dental Hygiene Program, which has a intake capacity of 20 students per year. The goal of the Department is to promote periodontal dentistry as dental medicine where prevention can be practiced. Periodontists believe that personal good oral hygiene behaviors are best taught to and practiced by age-specific and social groups through oral health education. Periodontal medicine perceives good oral health as an open gateway to good general systemic health, and documents the many links to general systemic health affected by the destructive presence of inflammation and oral infection from bacteria.

This course equips the students with conceptual knowledge about different relevant aspects of Agriculture. The students are trained to understand the ground issues of agrarian community and skilled to address the issue through policy reforms or by innovating and implementing best practices. Students get a full exposure of the impact of new techniques, trending agricultural practices, and efforts needed for agro-development. The vision is to create professionals to work for the upgradation of agriculture and farmers.

Department is situated on ground level of the Dental College which helps it to work in close association with departments of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery for patient’s diagnosis and treatment planning. It imparts education and subject expertise on dental anatomy and oral histology as well as oral pathology to under-graduates and post- graduates through first three years of their training for BDS degree and also higher education to budding oral pathologists.

The M.M School of nursing was started in Sept,2004 with 50 seats for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course of 3 year duration. The course is run by Haryana Nurses & Nurse Midwives Council (Panchkula). Later in 2006 INC granted 60 seats to our school. Since then, the school flourishing every year with 100% admission. Aim of school of nursing is to prepare competent and skilled female nurses who can provides quality of care to patients. 

MM(DU) offers B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), a dedicated course that helps the students evolve as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist. An MLT is an important part of Medical team with full knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and timely treatment of diseases through clinical laboratory tests. As a professional, you would play a key role in identifying abnormalities in the samples such as malignancies, pathogens, or genetic abnormalities.

Course Objective

• To impart knowledge in GLP practices required for establishing medical laboratories.
• To create efficient and confident professionals aware about safety settings in clinical laboratory and high-pressure hospital environments.
• To practice ethical behaviour while handling o laboratory and healthcare cases
• To improve work, communication and leadership skills of students that helps them solve people’s healthcare issues and problems

The syllabus is designed in such a way to make the students aware of preclinical and clinical experimental studies and provide them advanced training in various fields of pharmacology like molecular level, basic level and clinical level.  Excellent experiments are carried out in each of these areas, which equip the student with skills for research. M. Pharm. (Pharmacology) helps the students to understand clinical uses of drugs in treatment of diseases, concept of drug action and adverse effects of drugs.

Pharm. (Quality assurance) is a two-year duration course designed to meet the specific needs of ever-expanding pharmaceutical industry, research organizations and academic institutions with special emphasis on the quality management system and regulatory submissions. The department of Quality Assurance is equipped with the state-of-art laboratories, ultra-modern facilities and competitive staff, which have been considered as most sophisticated infrastructure in the country.

 The focused research areas of the department are

• Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic studies
• Development of analytical and bio-analytical method and validation
• Pharmaceutical materials science including crystal engineering and crystal structure manipulations of drug molecules
• Quality Management System of pharmaceutical industry
• Expertise in preparation and submission of dossiers.

The undergraduate degree in Nursing is a nationally recognized educational programme that trains the students to assume responsibility in the primary, secondary, and tertiary care of people as professional nurses. The graduates are made capable of teaching and supervising appropriate nursing and health care in different setting and participate in the administration of nursing service and education. This programme becomes the basis for the Master’s programme in nursing.
