Radiography is the science of taking images of the internal and hidden portions of the human body for diagnostic purpose Using Ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, MRI, etc. comes under the realm of Radiography. Radiography, a promineny paramedical professional course is meant to create professionals expert in diagnostic tests for medical treatment with the use of radiation. There is huge scope for Radiographers in Healthcare industry, Diagnostic Department, Intensive Care Units of Hospital and Operating Theatre. It is worth mentioning that radiographers who can perform the ultrasound test are known as sonographers.

The Pharm D programme is an emerging concept globally focusing mainly on improving healthcare system for a better drug therapy by assisting medical practitioners. It is a clinical-oriented curriculum where the students would be trained to provide information about diseases, drugs and lifestyle modifications to the patients in a hospital environment and work on to improve the patient’s health condition.

The Department conducts state of the art training of undergraduates & postgraduates in diagnosis & treatment planning of malocclusions in patients. Further they are educated, guided and trained regarding the ill effects and treatment of malocclusions in different types of patients. The students are also made aware of motivational skills so as to motivate the patients to undergo treatment. In a nutshell the students are able to provide best treatment using contemporary techniques.

This course equips the students with conceptual knowledge about different relevant aspects of Agriculture. The students are trained to understand the ground issues of agrarian community and skilled to address the issue through policy reforms or by innovating and implementing best practices. Students get a full exposure of the impact of new techniques, trending agricultural practices, and efforts needed for agro-development. The vision is to create professionals to work for the upgradation of agriculture and farmers.

MM(DU) offers B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), a dedicated course that helps the students evolve as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist. An MLT is an important part of Medical team with full knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and timely treatment of diseases through clinical laboratory tests. As a professional, you would play a key role in identifying abnormalities in the samples such as malignancies, pathogens, or genetic abnormalities.

Department is situated on ground level of the Dental College which helps it to work in close association with departments of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery for patient’s diagnosis and treatment planning. It imparts education and subject expertise on dental anatomy and oral histology as well as oral pathology to under-graduates and post- graduates through first three years of their training for BDS degree and also higher education to budding oral pathologists.

Optometry is the science of dealing with issues and problems related to the eye. A course in Optometry covers every aspect related to understanding the eye, problems, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illnesses and diseases etc. MM(DU) follows the Ministry of Health guidelines and offers lateral entry in Degree course to diploma holders in Optometry in the 3rd semester to balance the gaps in diploma programs. The program covers both clinical and theoretical aspects. Students would get in-depth understanding and training to treat Cornea, Glaucoma, Low vision and Retina.

The Prosthodontics Department is responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in several areas: Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, Occlusion and TMJ Dysfunction, Dental Implants and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. We are committed to continuing professional development and postgraduate courses. We strive to let our patients have a unique, holistic, professional experience when they visit our department. We are also committed to providing the highest standard of dental care available. The postgraduate programme is designed for advanced training in the rehabilitation of completely edentulous, partially edentulous patients and patients requiring Implants and Maxillofacial prosthesis.

The academic schedule is designed to include seminars, journal club presentations, case presentations and a dissertation. Courses are evaluated and updated annually for contents and are augmented with technology to teach the latest techniques in Prosthodontics within comprehensive treatment planning, Implant Dentistry, Occlusion and Aesthetics. We further aim to pursue research of high quality, and to constantly improve on our teaching techniques/methods.

The three-year full time regular course equips the students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The program involves in-depth laboratory work for students to gain expertise in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. It also provides managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety & Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.
The course pays attention to tactical and strategic management in areas like event management, financial management, human resource management, revenue management and entrepreneurship. Some of the foremost objectives of the course are also to develop research skills, complete a 6 months internship in the industry that too twice during the tenure of the course which will be able to deepen the knowledge in the field of Hospitality Industry.

Nutrition & Dietetics degree, a student turns into a qualified nutritionist & dietician, who educate people about proper food choices to promote healthy eating and healthy life-style.
