Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is now offering the 3 years Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights (B.A. (Hons.) in Human Rights) programme. The programme is designed in keeping with the latest University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students. Since its recognition as a right through Magna Carta, human rights have found a cardinal place in societies, irrespective of the nature of society or the form of government. The pan human perspective of human rights helped all members of society-irrespective of their class, creed, community, gender, and nationality-to become bearers of the rights. With the evolution of society from medieval monarchies to more advanced forms of social governance in modernity, human rights have become broader and inclusive. Our globalizing society has witnessed the rise of human rights as a profession, mainly under the aegis of the United Nations (UN) through various general and particular programmes of aid and assistance. These programmes percolated to the national, regional, and local levels through many sub-national human rights initiatives and activities. The activities spanned over areas, e.g., community services, charity, awareness building, investigation, research, policy-making, legal advice, and cause lawyering.

The Bachelor of Design is a professional degree program for students who wish to work towards improving the inhabited spaces through experimental, experiential, and informed design processes. The program teaches students to imagine, propose, test and refine their ideas about how to live and dwell in the contemporary world and trains students in the knowledge systems that help anticipate changes in the future built environments (from domestic to urban scale). The program uniquely places student-centred inquiry as the core learning, through a sequential studio sequence culminating in a customized capstone design project. These courses are taught by internationally-trained design professors. The professional practice courses include new forms of social and technical knowledge: diversity, sustainability, digital representations and professional ethics. Other features of the program comprise diverse, customizable electives, a flexible system of minors in multiple subjects taught across schools within the university. This is a program for students with ambition, imagination and curiosity who wish to imagine and lead the design of a better world, and wishes to become knowledgeable and influential future design professions.

The three-year fully residential B.Com. (Hons.) Degree programme at Jindal School of Banking & Finance integrates traditional and contemporary courses in emerging areas with international & industry exposure, professional certifications, application of relevant analytical tools and research collaborations. The B.Com course is designed to give students a unique and global perspective through a world-class pedagogy of learning and interaction among peers.

The M.A./M.Sc. degree in Applied Psychology is awarded following completion of a two-year graduate programme committed to the study and application of psychological principles and findings. The programme benefits from a strong culture of interdisciplinary research and learning, practical exposure, and hands-on application. The degree and instruction are jointly provided by the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) and the Jindal School of Psychology & Counselling (JSPC).

The programme aims to instil the necessary knowledge and skills for each student’s personal and academic growth, preparing them for immediate employment or Doctorate study.

The three-year fully residential BBA (Hons.) Degree programme is designed to give a global business management perspective through a unique pedagogy of learning and interaction. The internet age has brought on the need for a scientific approach to the study of journalism and the media. How do you find information, process it and communicate it for maximum impact in the 21st century? Our international, industry-benchmarked curriculum takes on a liberal arts approach informed by the social sciences. We provide a holistic, experiential education where our students learn to produce content for multimedia platforms. We also teach our students to situate their journalism and media practice within the broader context of democracy, social welfare and human rights.

Experiential learning at JSJC works in two ways. First, our state-of-the-art studios enable our students to create professional-grade content, closely supervised by our faculty. Second, we work closely with the Office of Career Services to obtain internship opportunities for our students. We have partnered with leading media platforms in India. Our students have written for the Hindustan Times, the Citizen, Indian Express and the Wire amongst others. We are also working closely with international partners to facilitate study abroad and semester exchange programmes for our students. In the past, our students have taken classes at the University of Sydney, Koc University in Istanbul, IDC Herzliya in Israel amongst others.

 The B.A. (Hons.) Political Science at the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) brings multiple social science perspectives to canonical questions of political science, and adopts a comprehensive perspective to a political science education that is sustained far beyond the confines of a classroom. We bring in practitioners’ knowledge to ground theory, incorporate domestic, regional, and global politics through our diverse global faculty, provide opportunities for experiential learning in India and abroad with the help of dedicated staff, and incorporate skill-based learning into our curriculum.

We achieve this through courses centred around research methods, opportunities to partake in faculty collaborations with external partner organisations, study abroad and semester exchange programmes, research experience gained through working with faculty mentors as well as in our research centres. JSIA employs courses that focus on skills and political literacy from a year-long grounding in critical reading and writing, as well as learning to analyse news media and political institutions through primary sources with a critical perspective, to advanced elective options for multi-methods training and independent research studies.

The B.A. Economics (Honours) degree at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge that makes accurate analysis of the economic situation possible.

B.A. Economics graduates from JSGP must be able to understand the interrelation between the economy and society: to consider economic problems from a global perspective and take a local approach to solve them; to make connections between an economic system’s different components; to gauge the implications of decisions related to economic policy; and to respond to the economic problems arising from society in general and the different units that interact therein (e.g. institutions, private companies and sectors of the economy).

The B.Com Capital Markets sits at the intersection of theory and practice with an aim to prepare students for global careers in ?nance and capital markets. The programme curriculum ensures that students learn with real market data with and earn industry recognised certi?cations and skills to not only become ?nancially independent and but also ready for opportunities in ongoing ?ntech revolution in India.
