The program provides instruction in the languages, cultures, and civilizations of East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea); Asian humanities and religions; and Asian-American studies. Individual programs may emphasize the language, linguistics, literature, history, thought, religion, and society (ancient or modern) of more than one cultural area (China, Japan, or Korea). Students may specialize in the East Asian region or one or more discipline-focused studies of East Asian subjects. Advanced study of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is required.

Establish the foundation you need to conduct psychological research and move on to advanced studies. Coursework includes the study of development, learning, personality, memory, perception, consciousness, sexuality, love, spirituality and more. Microbiology is the study of microorganisms and the role they play in human, animal and plant health. This Bachelor of Science offers students a base in modern biology, specifically how microorganisms interact with their surroundings. Coursework includes food safety and consumer health; plant pathology and microbiology; environmental microbiology; microbial genomics and biotechnology; and medical microbiology. Students research microbes such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa and touch on subjects such as bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, immunology and microbial genetics. Students audition for placement in a large conducted ensemble to fulfill credit requirements. The school boasts the Tuba-Euphonium Studio, featuring a variety of ensemble options and performance opportunities. Performance majors take 89 units of music courses, studying a mix of music literature, music history, pedagogy, orchestration, conducting, brass techniques and materials, and more.
