Examine the social dimensions of health and health care in directly applicable ways, making for an impactful career within a helping profession. The Care, Health and Society major equips students who plan to pursue careers in medical professions and offers a broader perspective of how health care integrates within the context of social interaction, social institutions and social structures. This interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science incorporates coursework from the social sciences, science and humanities, and offers a fully online option. The program complements training in public health and front-line health care careers, providing students with the toolkit necessary to address persistent population health issues, inform public health initiatives and combat barriers to health care delivery. Students obtain analytical, organizational and advocacy skills for the helping professions.

Deepen your understanding of the role of art in culture and politics from prehistory to the modern period. A major in Art History offers students a critical view of the role of art in culture and politics from prehistory to the modern era. Coursework offers comprehensive studies in the history of art through rigorous visual analysis, engagement with current scholarship and the application of various methodological approaches. Students gain wide knowledge of the history of art through introductory courses and then take specialty courses in areas including early modern Europe, the history of photography, Latin America, modern and contemporary, among others. Become a leader in historic preservation and learn about the importance of heritage conservation to preserve and create more sustainable built environments.Students in the Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Built Environments program with a Heritage Conservation Emphasis explore the value of historic structures and landscapes and the reasons for preserving and adapting them. The faculty bring a breadth of experience and depth of expertise to coursework, teaching students how the preservation and adaptation of historic structures advances environmental, cultural and economic sustainability. Students learn the processes and protocols of conservation as well as current issues in historic preservation and resource management. Graduates are prepared for careers as managers at nonprofit organizations, leaders of government agencies, and consultants in heritage conservation and historic preservation.

Focus your anthropology studies on the scientific aspects of the field, specializing in data collection and analysis, fieldwork and archaeological methods. The Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archaeological Sciences introduces students to the rigorous study of archaeological data. The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Humanities with an emphasis in Spatial Organization & Design Thinking provides an innovative approach to understanding and affecting the physical world, bringing a humanities perspective to the future of the built environment.
