This four-year, co-op Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) program is designed to prepare students to manage international business endeavours and work in global companies. The goal is to provide graduates with the ability to bring people, processes, and technology together to achieve improved performance in domestic or international enterprises. At the end of Year 2, students have the option of selecting a major in Human Resource Management (HRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Marketing Management (MM), Sustainability Management (SM) or continuing in the general stream. Applied research is designed to answer specific questions aimed at solving practical problems. While fundamental research answers the initial question of how things work, new knowledge acquired from applied research has specific objectives in the form of products, procedures or services. The pace of change in the applied research and information mobilization has never been as fast as today. Whether designing, implementing, and evaluating applied research projects, or targeting and tailoring research evidence for decision-making, people who engage in applied research create meaning and impact across multiple sectors. In this graduate certificate program, you will learn practical research methodologies, data analytics, data visualization, and knowledge mobilization to accelerate the impact of applied research. The second semester allows you to work in interdisciplinary teams to implement your skills in an applied research impact project. In addition to this hands-on experience, you will have the opportunity to expand your real-world practice through an optional co-op term.

Financial Technology
The field of financial technology is evolving as it responds to the challenges facing the 21st century financial sector. This means that professionals employed in the field must be equipped to support diverse client groups such as individuals and company-based financial institutions. If you have a background in the computer industry, finance or other related fields, and are ready to attain in-depth competencies to help consumers and businesses track, manage, and facilitate their finances, this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will be of interest to you. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, and using current and relevant resources to support the latest trends in financial technology, you will develop the skills needed to help individuals and businesses secure their finances. You will study topics such as applications, emerging market trends, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and management. In just eight months, graduates will be job-ready to take the lead in the financial technology industry in various roles such as Business Analyst, Blockchain Business Analyst, Financial Technologist and other roles related to financial technology.

Project Management
Learn how to manage simple to complex projects from start to finish, and become a critical part of an organization’s most exciting achievements. Develop the skills you need to oversee project management activities such as planning, managing scope, costs, time while balancing client expectations. Learn organizational Agility with practices such as Scrum. Establish goals for your project team and lead them to overcome obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. The Supply Chain Management - Global program prepares students for careers in the fields of logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations. Through extensive practical learning activities, students enhance their knowledge of supply chain concepts applicable to a variety of sectors. Graduates will be well-prepared to support the management of job functions by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes and roles; determining the value-added and financial implications of supply chain decisions and design on business profitability, efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction; using risk mitigation tools and strategies; reviewing supply chain activities and transactions for compliance with relevant policies, standards, legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; collaborating with, and using leadership and communication skills to build strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders.

Business Analytics
The need for business analytics in today’s fast-paced world necessitates that employees possess the skills, technologies, and practices for continuous exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight into what happened and why. A well-trained business analyst will use the insights to help drive change and business planning within organizations. You will learn how to describe, interpret, and inform business decisions in specific areas of data-driven business. You will improve your data literacy skills and develop an analytic mindset that will help you make strategic decisions based on data. The Business Analytics Ontario College Graduate Certificate program focuses on two of the four types of analytics used in business - Descriptive Analytics and Diagnostics Analytics. Using these two types of analytics, you will practice summarizing data findings to communicate what is currently going on in business and help stakeholders see what contributed to the outcome of your findings.

Business is ever evolving to include more and more information technology (IT) resources for staff which allows for increased productivity in the workplace. This two-semester Ontario College Certificate program enables you to gain the critical knowledge and skills required to configure and troubleshoot end user computers, server operating systems, infrastructure services, and networks. Students refine their skills by completing activities that are typical in a business setting within an IT support role focusing on client needs.

Public service is service that is performed for the benefit of the public or its institutions, usually through employment in either a government or a non-profit organization. This graduate certificate program provides students with the skills, knowledge and practical experience critical to a career in public service. Students will learn about the inner workings of government at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. The program will address issues such as public ethics, policy formulation, government and public sector structures, leadership, and management. Through the program, students will develop skills in critical thinking, analytical communications and problem-solving to pursue a career as a public servant. The optional co-op stream includes one co-op work term.

Applying to the Co-op Stream

• All applicants apply to the non co-op program. Students will be informed of the application deadline and process to apply for the Co-op Stream. Labour market conditions determine co-op seats in optional co-op programs. Every student who meets academic eligibility requirements may not be admitted to the co-op stream.
• To be considered for admission to the co-op stream, students are required to achieve a minimum overall SWA of 3.75 (80% session weighted average) with no dropped or failed courses.

• Co-op programs add value to your education. Earn while you apply what you learn in a real workplace environment. See the Co-op webpages for more details.
• The College cannot guarantee co-op employment. All co-op students are required to conduct an independent co-op job search in addition to the supports and services provided by the Department of Co-op Education.
• Students are responsible for their own transportation and associated costs in order to complete work term requirements. Work locations may not always be readily accessible by public transportation.

In just 30 weeks, graduates of the Data Processing and Reporting program are prepared to assume roles entering and organizing data in an office role. You will develop the skills and strategies required to interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner in a diverse business environment. This Ontario College Certificate program prepares you to use various electronic data applications, while gaining hands-on experience to organize data, visually present data, develop basic data reports, validate accuracy of data and support digital marketing platforms. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, you will develop the workplace interpersonal skills needed to support all phases of your career. A field placement is included; allowing you to translate theoretical knowledge from the classroom into applied practice in a workplace setting.

The Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness (OHSW) graduate program provides a focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in developing and building their knowledge and skills in occupational health, safety and wellness. In today's work environment, a balance of work and personal wellness is critical from both the personal and organizational perspective. The workplace is a priority target setting for health promotion initiatives as set out by the World Health Organization, with the end goals of protecting and promoting both individual and organizational well-being. Therefore, employers are required to manage occupational health, safety and wellness from a legal perspective, and have moral and ethical imperatives to do so. Additionally, there is an economic advantage to employers who seek to maximize productivity and engagement in the workplace since healthy workers are more productive, more engaged, and have lower absenteeism and presenteeism rates.

The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in how occupational health, safety and wellness initiatives can be developed and implemented in businesses and organizations to address these imperatives. Students will research and analyze existing health, safety and wellness trends and utilize that research to develop programs that address health, safety and wellness concerns within the workplace.

An exciting career in the nutrition and food industry starts here. This program is designed to equip students with a strong management aptitude and the expertise needed to work in a variety of careers in the nutrition and food industries. This innovative program emphasizes the evidenced-based nutritional care of people from all ages and stages of life, providing instruction in community and clinical nutrition management, as well as in the marketing and promotion of nutritious living. Students will further receive instruction in food service and human resource management, highlighting innovation in menu development, customer service and product selection. Financial management of food services, food safety, food sciences, professional practice and quality management will be integrated throughout the program, to best prepare students for the food and nutrition workplace. Instruction will include integrated online, classroom, and simulation opportunities, to provide students with the opportunity to practice their practical skills prior to entering into the workforce. Additionally, students will participate in a hybrid practicum placement in food and nutrition management in the final semester of the program to consolidate their learning.
