Some of the areas of focus include transportation communication, customer service, freight calculations, hours of service, e-logging legislation, geography, logistics business practices, and driving simulation. Graduates are positioned to begin their AZ licensing with an affiliated 3rd party trainer if commercial driving is their career goal.

As a member of an interprofessional health-care team, a Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides supportive person-centred care across the lifespan to individuals and families, at various levels of health and wellbeing, in a variety of care environments including: long-term, community and/or hospital care settings. Conestoga's PSW program prepares students to become preferred graduates for the profession; one that truly makes a difference in the lives of others.

Students will progress from beginning engagement to an entry-to-practice prepared professional PSW; one who participates in the delivery of care as directed by the plan of care/service plan with activities of daily living, comprising personal care, home management and nutrition and family responsibilities. Throughout the program, students learn how to promote a comfortable and safe environment for all clients including those experiencing responsive behaviours, risk for injury and/or clients requiring end-of-life care. Provincially recognized certificates related to these areas of learning will be received.

Financial Technology
The field of financial technology is evolving as it responds to the challenges facing the 21st century financial sector. This means that professionals employed in the field must be equipped to support diverse client groups such as individuals and company-based financial institutions. Located in the technology hub of the country, Game - Design places you in the middle of the action with access to industry standard software and technology. Taught by faculty with extensive experience in the game world, this program is designed to provide you with a strong set of skills and knowledge for game design, gameplay programming, and employment across various parts of the production pipeline. This program is designed to train and prepare individuals as qualified fitness and health promotion practitioners working within the fitness, health promotion and lifestyle industry. Graduates are equipped with the skills to accurately assess and monitor health and fitness levels to prepare safe and effective programs that meet clients' goals. As fitness and health promotion practitioners, graduates will provide services and programs to a variety of diverse populations such as healthy individuals, youth, seniors and those medically compromised. The program offers instruction in the areas of anatomy and physiology, fitness assessment and exercise prescription, health promotion, lifestyle coaching and behaviour modification, nutrition, therapeutic exercise, program planning, marketing, leadership and entrepreneurship, motivation and interpersonal skills. Courses will be offered using online components, as well as theory and hands-on application. Students gain valuable field experience during their on-campus internship and field work-integrated learning (WIL) experiences. Students will also have the opportunity to obtain internationally recognized fitness certifications such as Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.

Working within the payroll function of an organization requires a diverse set of skills along with specific knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and legislative applications to ensure all aspects of the accounting and payroll cycles and compliance elements are met. This two-year Ontario College diploma program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in entry-level bookkeeping positions as well as providing a solid knowledge of the payroll functions within organizations and the skills to perform the payroll and accounting tasks for manual and computerized systems. This program will also look at industry trends and best practices related to the compensation, benefits, and payroll functions within organizations. Topics addressed will include the payroll cycle and related calculations, how to work with agencies to ensure compliance with all legislative and government requirements, and documentation processes. Graduates will gain a solid foundation of the payroll functions within organizations and will be able to perform payroll functions for various organizations working with specific accounting systems and processes utilized in Canadian businesses. As well, graduates will provide valuable contributions to the interpersonal dynamics of an organization based on their knowledge of organizational planning and operations. Graduates that achieve Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) minimum grade requirements will be eligible to become a certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) with just 12 months of related work experience (8 months for co-op graduates). This designation ensures you have the payroll compliance knowledge and skills you need to succeed, helps you command a higher starting salary, and opens the doors for future advancement. When you get certified, you join a growing community of supportive professionals and gain access to the resources you need to stay current and compliant. Graduates will also have completed the 3 transfer credits required for the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification which is the next step for PCP certification holders looking to enter a management position. Graduates will only need to complete 2 further payroll courses with CPA and demonstrate 2 years of work experience, being responsible for the payroll function of an organization. CPM certification provides the valuable payroll compliance and management skills needed to advance.

Completion of this three-year program will allow students to obtain an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in the field of financial planning. The program will provide students with all of the educational requirements to challenge the Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) Level 1 and Level 2 Examinations (for CFP Professionals) and optional licensing opportunities with industry regulators such as the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), the Mutual Fund Dealer Association (MFDA) and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) for insurance licensing purposes. The progressive course of study combines courses designed at Conestoga with those originating from industry standard setting organizations to prepare students for employment opportunities in banking, insurance, private wealth, brokerage and/or independent practice.

In just 30 weeks, graduates of the Data Processing and Reporting program are prepared to assume roles entering and organizing data in an office role. You will develop the skills and strategies required to interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner in a diverse business environment. This Ontario College Certificate program prepares you to use various electronic data applications, while gaining hands-on experience to organize data, visually present data, develop basic data reports, validate accuracy of data and support digital marketing platforms.
