Overview

Fashion Marketing and Management is the business of fashion. We provide the knowledge with the hands on approach to prepare you for a dynamic career in retail. Our three areas of study focus on business, technology and visual presentation with emphasis on principles of marketing and management. Students will be responsible for the retail operations of our program campus store Live Chic and LiveChic.ca through buying, sales, inventory, merchandising, visual presentation, marketing and social media.

Co-operative Education
This two-year program has two co-op work terms.  Students who fulfill both the academic and co-op requirements of the program will be eligible to graduate with a Co-op Endorsed Diploma.  More information about Co-operative Education can be found at www.fanshawec.ca/co-op.

This innovative four-year honours baccalaureate program offers students studies in early childhood development, early childhood pedagogy, human relationships, curriculum development and leadership skills, developing the necessary skills to engage as pedagogical leaders in a diverse range of roles in the evolving disciplines within early childhood education and care.  A key component of this degree is the applied learning that takes place in ideal sized classrooms, with a focus on case studies, research, three field placements, that culminates in one fourteen-week Internship between third and fourth year.  International internships are offered on a limited basis for qualifying students. The Motive Power Technician (Automotive) Diploma program is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. The program is designed to develop graduates with essential advanced technical, organizational, interpersonal, administrative and managerial skills required for the automotive service industry as well as providing progressive and comprehensive learning experiences on internal combustion spark ignition engines, power trains and related modern vehicle systems. Students will learn to communicate effectively, diagnose and solve problems logically and to undertake responsible work tasks with a minimum of supervision.

Graduates may also be in a favourable status if they wish to apply for our alternative Motive Power Technician (Diesel) Diploma program. Credit for those courses that bridge our diploma programs will be granted; therefore, significantly reducing the requirements for this second Ontario College Diploma.

The Developmental Services Worker (Fast Track) Diploma program prepares its graduates to support people with developmental disabilities so that these individuals may participate fully in their communities. DSW have the specialized knowledge and skills required to work with people with developmental disabilities across the life span.

Inherent to the role of a DSW is an ability to collaborate and build relationships with people with developmental disabilities and their families and to work with colleagues and members of inter-professional teams to facilitate a seamless network of support for people.
Courses focus on disabilities, person-directed support, inclusion and community resources, dual diagnosis, interpersonal skills, counseling, health, pharmacology, development, teaching, and intervention strategies. Field placements in community agencies and/or schools are part of the curriculum.

The Plumbing Techniques program is an Ontario College Certificate program designed to prepare graduates for entrance into a plumbing career through the understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of the plumbing trade and the associated tools and materials. Graduates from the Social Service Worker program are eligible for admission to The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and must be members of this regulating body to use the professional title "Registered Social Service Worker".

This three-year Commercial Flight and Aviation Leadership Advanced Diploma is designed to prepare domestic and international students for a career in aviation.

The Computer Systems Technician program is a two-year accredited Ontario College Diploma program which provides comprehensive training for students wishing to work in the high demand areas of workstation, server, application, network and security support. This program provides students the ability to think critically, solve problems and acquire new skills quickly.

Under the guidance of expert faculty, combined with the use of leading edge labs, the program emphasizes the hands-on installation and configuration of workstations, servers and networking equipment.  Students will also be expertly trained in current operating systems from Microsoft as well as Linux.  The program also focuses in on the installation and configuration of web servers, database servers, IT security, effective communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
