Business - Finance (Co-op) is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. This program is designed to develop the skills needed to work in the growing personal financial services sector, from customer service to wealth management and financial planning. Students will learn to work with clients, evaluating their needs and offer advice on personal financial management, tax and retirement planning, insurance, investments, and estate planning, as well as customer relations and providing product to clients. Qualified graduates will have completed all the educational requirements leading to the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner®) designation awarded by the Financial Planning Standards Council www.fpsc.ca. and the Registered Retirement Consultant® RRC® designation awarded by CIFP.

Students are also prepared to write the Canadian Securities Course® and Life Licensing Qualification Program examinations as prerequisites to securities and life insurance licensing. Students will also have completed the Mutual Funds Licensing course.

Co-operative Education
In order to be eligible for co-op, students must maintain a 2.5 GPA and be academically complete at the commencement of their co-op work term.

Business - Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. The curriculum covers theory and application of supply chain management in private and public sector environments. Specifically, courses address material sourcing, transportation methods, inventory, retail management, negotiation skills and analytical techniques. Students also enhance their computer skills and their business communication skills. The program aligns to the curriculum of various professional associations in supply chain management. Graduates, equipped with the skills required to improve an organization's profitability and operations, are in high demand in both the private and public sector.

Co-operative Education

• Applicants seeking a Co-op Endorsed Diploma should apply to the Business - Logistics and Supply Chain Management (Co-op) program, Program Code BLS2.

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) program is a four-year, honours level degree with a mandatory co-op work term between Levels 7 and 8. Students will study many aspects of accounting including financial accounting, cost accounting, management accounting, business finance, auditing and taxation in addition to a variety of general business management concepts including business strategy, marketing and human resources. The program will satisfy the degree requirements for all accounting professional bodies and will be closely aligned with the requirements for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA). Students will be required to write certification exams for the professional bodies after graduation and fulfill experience requirements as part of the certification process for any professional body.

Ontario enjoys consistent demand for welders and this program is designed to allow students to graduate with a skill set that meets the needs of even the most current manufacturing environments. Students will enjoy a mix of theoretical and practical learning in Fanshawe's new state-of-the-art welding lab.  The program features a significant amount of in-lab practice time to allow students to master their craft.  Instruction will incorporate emerging technologies like virtual/augmented reality, robotics and pulse welding. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their employability by earning Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certifications. The program includes a co-op work experience.

This multidisciplinary program shall expose students to aspects of electromechanical systems. Traditionally, similar programs of study have been found in the electrical/electronic disciplines. Graduates from these programs will also gain knowledge of the mechanical aspects of a system, such as the ability to read mechanical prints, understand tolerances, as well as understand the mechanical nuances of a system.

This program will expose students to both electrical and mechanical principles, allowing graduates from the program to be capable of analyzing, modifying, maintaining and repairing electromechanical systems. As such, the focus of the program shall be concurrent engineering with respect to products and processes. Students shall also be exposed to project management and quality systems. The program will culminate in a 15-week capstone project course where students shall be able to apply their knowledge and document it according to current industry practice.

Co-operative Education
In order to be eligible for co-op, students must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be academically complete at the commencement of their co-op work term.
This is a two-year Co-operative Education program delivered over three years due to the co-op pattern. Students who fulfill both the academic and co-op requirements of the program will be eligible to graduate with a Co-op Endorsed Diploma. This two-year Ontario College Diploma program provides the skills necessary for students wishing to enter the workforce in the live entertainment industry. Through both practical application and classroom theory, students will develop skills using the technologies of theatre production, with emphasis on lighting, sound, video and properties. To enhance these skills the students will also learn a range of disciplines including, networks, properties, scenic painting, rigging, special effects, design communications, theatre and art history and project management.

This two-year conservatory program will give you practical experience in acting for the stage, mask work, play analysis, improv, and acting for the camera. You'll also take other specialized master classes and will work with professional artists on a graduating project that will come together as a professional production.

You'll be guided through a process of discovering a method of acting that brings out your full potential and you'll emerge with a deep understanding of Shakespeare, theatre history, movement for actors, and the business of acting. You'll emerge with a strong foundation for launching your professional career.

The Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media program is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate program designed to prepare creative and disciplined students for a career in the Post Production industry. The program focuses on professional techniques, terminology and software used for video and audio editing, motion graphics, 3D animation, compositing and Visual FX. Students will improve their Post Production knowledge and skills through individual and group assignments, practical instruction, independent learning, tutorials and research. The program includes an opportunity for client services, internship within the post industry across Canada, as well as self-directed portfolio projects.

Business - Human Resources is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. Students learn business basics such as accounting, communications, and computer applications, then focus on HR subjects such as training and development, recruitment, compensation, benefits, employment law and occupational health and safety.  In addition, students have the opportunity to achieve six of the nine Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP/CHRL) credits. In their final semester, in class students have the opportunity to participate in a mentorship with an HR professional to experience first-hand the HR workplace environment. Graduates are in demand for HR generalist  jobs as well as in recruiting, compensation and benefits, training and development and health and safety. Graduates who meet admission requirements are eligible for transfer to the Business Administration - Human Resources Advanced Diploma program where they will have the opportunity to achieve the balance of the CHRP/CHRL credits (three additional credits).
