Overview

This Graduate Certificate program is designed for students to build on the knowledge and skills gained from their previous engineering background. This program will provide students with the skills required for the workplace in the mechanical engineering design and manufacturing sector. An applied capstone project will provide students with the opportunity to design, implement and manage real-world solutions using skills in industrial communications, supervision, project management and documentation.  Students will learn in classroom, lab and experiential learning environments.

Business - Finance is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. This program is designed to develop the skills needed to work in the growing personal financial services sector, from customer service to wealth management and financial planning. Students will learn to work with clients, evaluating their needs and offer advice on personal financial management, tax and retirement planning, insurance, investments, and estate planning, as well as customer relations and providing product to clients. Graduate Certificate in Paralegal

The Paralegal program is designed to provide students with the specialized knowledge and skills required to work as licensed Paralegals in Ontario. It is designed for those seeking licensing in accordance with the Law Society Act and under the Law Society of Ontario to become a practicing paralegal and for those who wish to upgrade their skills and broaden their areas of knowledge and expertise in authorized areas of practice.

Provincial legislation requires Paralegals to be licensed to practice in the areas of Small Claims Court, Provincial Offences, Summary Conviction Offences and Administrative Tribunals in Ontario. This program has been accredited by the LSUC and designed in accordance with LSUC curriculum requirements and core competencies and provides training in those areas in which a Licensed Paralegal may legally practice.

This two-year professional program is designed to provide students with extensive practical understanding and knowledge to perform administrative support in a wide variety of medical environments.  The focus will be on medical terminology and transcription, medical billing, patient management, medical office procedures, medical ethics and research.  The emphasis will be on interpersonal, communication, organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills applied to enhance the effective operation of the medical environment.
