The Computer Systems Technician program is a two-year accredited Ontario College Diploma program which provides comprehensive training for students wishing to work in the high demand areas of workstation, server, application, network and security support. This program provides students the ability to think critically, solve problems and acquire new skills quickly.

Under the guidance of expert faculty, combined with the use of leading edge labs, the program emphasizes the hands-on installation and configuration of workstations, servers and networking equipment.  Students will also be expertly trained in current operating systems from Microsoft as well as Linux.  The program also focuses in on the installation and configuration of web servers, database servers, IT security, effective communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.

Upon completion of the program, and in addition to the highly valued Ontario College Diploma, graduates should have the knowledge and skills to take exams for the following certification, if they choose to do so: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). This three year Building Renovation Technology Advanced Diploma program will prepare students to plan, implement, and lead building and renovation projects and equip them with the skills to manage the technical and business operations related to a range of building projects in the residential and light commercial sectors of the construction industry.  The program will address the changes in Ontario Building Code, introduced in January 2017, which dramatically increased the requirement for buildings to be sustainable and highly energy efficient.

Co-operative Education
This three year program has two co-operative education work terms.  Students can choose to participate in a four-month paid co-op term from May to August between years one and two of academic study.  The second work term is eight months and takes place May to December following the completion of the second year of academic study.

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management) program is a four-year, honours level degree with a mandatory co-op work term between Levels 7 and 8.  Students will study core fundamentals of business including business strategy, management, accounting, leadership and marketing in addition to the specialized human resources management courses, including performance management, human resources planning, talent acquisition, employee and labour relations and compensation and benefits administration. All nine CHRP course credits required for professional licensing bodies are included in this program.

Professional Financial Services is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program, completed in two four-month levels. The program is designed to leverage a university or college credential in any discipline by providing a fast track to a career as a Professional Financial Planner. An intensive curriculum prepares graduates to provide clients with professional advice to build wealth and ensure financial security through setting goals, managing finances, minimizing tax, managing life's risks, and building investment portfolios, as well as customer relations and providing product to clients. The curriculum prepares students to pursue the Certified Financial Planner® CFP®, with the CFP designation awarded by the Financial Planning Standards Council www.fpsc.ca.  Graduates complete the Registered Retirement Consultant curriculum and may challenge the RRC® designation assessment.     Students are prepared to write the Canadian Securities Course® CSC® and Life Licensing Qualification Program exams. Apply your knowledge in a co-op work experience with professionals within golf course management. You’ll gain further employable skills in food and beverage service and culinary management on-campus through The Chef’s Table restaurant and cafe.

This tailor-made co-operative education program allows applicants the opportunity to explore the numerous career opportunities available in the ever growing golf and club industry. Inspired by the Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM), this program fosters the core educational competencies required to excel in a career in club management.  Students will develop expertise in business and financial management, golf club and turf services and food and beverage operations with a hospitality focus. Theoretical studies will be supported by practical exposure in all areas of golf and club facilities. Students will gain an appreciation for proactive customer service and the relation to business development. Upon graduation, students are prepared to get their Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.

Business Fundamentals - Entrepreneurship is a one-year Ontario College Certificate program.  This customized program is designed specifically for the novice entrepreneur and will provide graduates with the knowledge required to plan, start and manage their own small business.  Through the program curriculum, students explore alternatives for starting a business, such as franchising and taking over the family firm, as well as financing options.  The Business Fundamentals -Entrepreneurship program gives students insight into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship and assist students in acquiring the skills for long-term management of the business and their development as entrepreneurs.  Under the supervision of a faculty advisor, students prepare a comprehensive business plan intended to help students launch their own business upon graduation.

Learning Outcomes:
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to

  • Identify factors that have an impact on an organization's business opportunities.
  • Explain the impact of corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility and ethics on an organization's business initiatives.
  • Use current technologies to support an organization's business initiatives.
  • Apply basic research skills to support business decision making.
  • Perform basic accounting procedures and financial calculations to support the operations of an organization.
  • Describe marketing and sales concepts used to support the operations of an organization.
  • Develop strategies for ongoing personal and professional development to enhance work performance.
  • Outline the functional areas of a business and their inter-relationships.
  • Create a business plan that meets the comprehensive information requirements of the business and its prospective financiers and partners.
  • Apply credit acquisition and management techniques appropriate to small business enterprises.
  • Evaluate the business environment to understand the risks and opportunities specific to business ownership.
