The Aviation Technician - Avionics Maintenance program is a Transport Canada approved program (TC-2011-08-4128) that provides the knowledge and skills required to start a career in aircraft avionics maintenance, which is responsible for servicing, repair and maintenance of aircraft electrical and electronics systems such as communication, navigation and data systems. This program covers all aspects of aircraft avionics systems used in general aviation, corporate, charter transport category aircraft and helicopters.

This program is a four-year, eight level honours program with four months of mandatory co-op experience. This program will ready graduates for jobs in growth areas of Applied Biotechnology such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, agriculture, bioremediation, the fermentation industry, research and development to name a few. Students will study molecular biology, physical, organic and instrumental chemistry, applied biotechnology, microbiology, virology, toxicology; and related societal, economic, ethical, legal, and environmental issues.
