This program prepares students to work in many different legal environments including law offices, government agencies and ministries, legal clinics, financial institutions, and various business enterprises. Our three-semester curriculum provides a solid foundation in legal procedures and substantive law ap­plicable to authorized areas of work for a law clerk. Emphasis is placed on property law, civil litigation, family law, criminal law, wills and estates, legal research and writing, and business law. In preparation for these careers, this program offers two robust Professional Placements in the community, totalling 400 hours.

Graduates can move forward into these careers by being prepared to carry out duties and responsibilities in the prevention, management and resolution of conflict, crises, and emergency situations in institutional and community justice settings using various intervention strategies. Graduates gain skills to work with and support diverse and at-risk populations, including those with addiction and mental health struggles

The Hairstyling diploma program offers practical, theoretical, and experiential learning opportunities to prepare students for an exciting career in the Hairstyling industry. Our students gain knowledge and skills in all areas of hairstyling, including haircutting, styling, chemical services, hair additions as well as career preparation and business operations.

  • Our diploma program meets the 1,500 vocational training hours required by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. Our graduates are then eligible to complete an Apprenticeship (without completing any exemption testing), after which time graduates are eligible to write the Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) exam to become a licensed Hairstylist in Ontario.

Do you love all things science? Investigating questions? Setting up experiments? The Biotechnology Advanced program at St. Lawrence College is a predominantly hands-on, laboratory, and practical based course. As a student you will perform genetic assays, investigate contaminated soil and water, determine food-borne illnesses, clone for proteins, ferment antibiotics, and create plant hybrids.

According to Statistics Canada, Biotechnology is one of the fastest growing global industries with Canada providing a strong and growing employer base in the biotech sector necessitating the demand for well-trained laboratory personnel.
