The Master of Urban Design – Future Cities (MUD) educates the next generation of urban designers, architects and researchers in the development of sustainable, healthy and smart cities and communities. Focused on envisioning the future, the program spotlights pressing contemporary issues with far-reaching consequences, such as the need to develop urban resiliency and carbon neutral communities and to harness the potential of smart technologies to achieve environmental wellness on multiple scales in response to rapid urbanization and climate change. Customize your education to best suit your interests, whatever they may be.  You will learn how to inquire, research, hypothesize, experiment and analyze until the scientific method becomes second-nature. You will never be expected to simply memorize facts from a textbook – you will have to create your own experiments to evaluate scientific phenomena for yourself.

Radiologic (x-ray) technologists use x-ray (ionizing radiation) technology to perform diagnostic imaging, producing images of tissue, organs and bones. Radiologic technologists understand the characteristics of radiation, its biological effects and the methods of reducing patient and operator exposure while obtaining optimal diagnostic information.

Radiologic technologists work directly with healthy and critically ill inpatients and outpatients of all ages, dispensing oral and rectal contrast for studies of the GI tract. The job requires standing and moving from exam room to operator’s console, wearing lead aprons during fluoroscopic procedures, lifting and moving patients onto and off of the exam table for accurate positioning and lifting and/or moving patients from the exam table to and from the waiting area.

The four-year Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies (B.S.) program allows students to focus on a field allied to the profession of architecture. After common first-year studios that lay the foundation for visual thinking, students will select two minors based upon their areas of academic and professional interest. The College of Architecture and the Built Environment offers an array of minors that allow Architectural Studies students to customize their education and earn a degree with a pre-professional design emphasis with a liberal arts focus. Opportunities exist for collaborative studios, fieldwork, study abroad options, professional internships and elective offerings.

Contemporary architecture encompasses a number of discrete, though intersecting, disciplines and requires individuals trained to fill a variety of roles beyond that of designer. The College of Architecture and the Built Environment offers an array of minors to allow students to customize their education and earn a degree with a pre-professional design emphasis and a liberal arts focus. Options range from areas that are intrinsic to making and constructing buildings and environments, such as building technology, to fields that support the rehabilitation and documentation of architecture and sites, such as historic preservation.

The Fashion Merchandising and Management Program at Jefferson features an immersive, career-focused curriculum that prepares students to contribute to all aspects of the fashion value chain. Ranked in the top-20 fashion schools by Business of Fashion, the program teaches current and upcoming trends in advancing technologies and a global fashion marketplace.
The fashion industry has evolved into a billion-dollar business offering many rewarding opportunities, from buying and sourcing to merchandising and brand management.

When you come to Thomas Jefferson University, you join a fashion design program that is modeled on the fashion industry and you should prepare to immerse yourself in the world of fashion. You will be transformed into a fashion design professional through hands-on experience with computerized design and production equipment while also building a strong foundation in design and technical courses.

During your time at Thomas Jefferson University, you will also have the opportunity to add an international dimension to your education by participating in our study abroad programs at international fashion centers like London and Rome, or through short courses in other fashion hubs around the world. With a global experience, you will gain a cross-cultural outlook while broadening your design skills; strengthening your competitive edge in the international marketplace.

The TJU fashion design program prepares you to influence the fashion design world. Our alumni work as fashion professionals in all areas and levels of the fashion industry, following in the footsteps of our distinguished faculty who have served as leaders in both the design and production sides of the fashion industry. With such a strong network of fashion expertise, you will have plenty of opportunities to land coveted internships and start careers in companies including PVH, Lilly Pulitzer, Anthropologie, Free People, Coach, Nannette Lepore, BCBG Maxazria, Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Urban Outfitters, and Vogue Magazine.

The M.S. in Engineering program is intended to develop graduate students’ knowledge in the advanced fields.

The program offers a wide range of engineering science courses that prepare students to make significant contributions in advanced manufacturing technologies. The carefully integrated educational offerings at the University enable the student to be exposed to a wide range of professional education possibilities in their selected fields of specialization. A capstone thesis based project is required at the completion of program.

The marketing program at Thomas Jefferson University prepares students to become professionals with a broad understanding of business, communication, sales and research.

As a marketing student, you will benefit from dynamic, multidisciplinary training in multimedia communications and business. Additionally, you will learn to analyze demand and market segments, design budgets and campaigns, increase a company’s brand equity, and formulate marketing plans from start to finish.

The Accelerated Dual Degree Programs allow students to customize their education, breaking outmoded disciplinary silos and expanding professional opportunities for our graduates. Layering an additional area of expertise to their primary area of study affords students the credentials and competencies to tackle a broad range of design and industry-related projects and to address pressing environmental and community-based issues.

By submatriculating as a graduate student while completing their baccalaureate degree, a student achieves advanced standing in a graduate program, thereby reducing both time and tuition. The Accelerated Dual Degree Programs enable students to complete two professional degrees in just two to four semesters of additional coursework, depending upon program requirements.

This interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary educational model fosters nimble, flexible problem solving on multiple levels. Working in team and/or studio centered processes, students engage in real world, experiential and collaborative learning. The Accelerated Dual Degree programs prepare students for the complexities of contemporary practice and afford our graduates a competitive edge in today’s market.

To participate in the benefits of the accelerated programs, a student must enroll in coursework by the fall or spring semester immediately following graduation from the baccalaureate program. The graduate program director may grant deferred enrollment in unusual circumstances.
