This is a highly specialized, advanced program in the theory and practice of all phases of producing creative sound for film, television, gaming, web animations, live audio, video and all new media forms.  Concept building is emphasized through various means: audio production and surround sound design and mixing, field recording, ADR, Foley, live sound and game sound techniques. Students are engaged in individual and collaborative projects involving practical and process oriented instruction, working with other graduate certificate programs and departments within the College, as well as independent lab time.

Business - Payroll and Bookkeeping is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program. The program provides graduates with knowledge of 1) payroll and human resources practices including compensation and benefits, and 2) bookkeeping practices and related accounting software applications. Graduates will have met the educational requirements for the Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation and will have three advanced standing credits towards completion of the Certified Payroll Manager designation with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy (Accelerated)

The professional faculty, including Registered Massage Therapists, medical professionals and seasoned professors will provide students with a high calibre experience. Students will learn, first hand, that the practice of massage therapy is the "assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain," as according to The Massage Therapy Act of Ontario. The Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College is both challenging and rewarding. Through this program, you can acquire more than the core knowledge and skills required to succeed as a massage therapist.

Theory and practice are integral to the program, and students will be exposed to directly learning the skills of a Massage Therapist in the first level. Individual attention is spent by the faculty to ensure you achieve the utmost from your education. Many adjunct therapies to the Massage Therapist will be studied, including: sport massage, clinical massage, pregnancy massage; to name a few.

The program prepares students for a career in the residential construction industry. Courses are designed to provide the technical knowledge required to perform the construction, estimating, and scheduling associated with the building of one and two-storey houses, duplexes and townhouses.  A portion of the program is devoted to the acquisition of hands-on skills pertaining to the construction field.

Co-operative Education
This two year program has two Co-operative Education work terms. Students can choose to participate in a four-month paid co-op term from May to August between years one and two of academic study. The second four-month work term will take place from May to August following the completion of the second year of academic study.

Professional Financial Services is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program, completed in two four-month levels. The program is designed to leverage a university or college credential in any discipline by providing a fast track to a career as a Professional Financial Planner. An intensive curriculum prepares graduates to provide clients with professional advice to build wealth and ensure financial security through setting goals, managing finances, minimizing tax, managing life's risks, and building investment portfolios, as well as customer relations and providing product to clients. Are you interested in an exciting career in Event Planning? Planning a big or small event requires extensive planning from choosing the venue, reviewing contracts, to the finer details of guest lists, decor, marketing and sponsorship.

Special Events Planning is a two-year diploma program designed for individuals interested in a career in event management. Designed by industry professionals, students will be exposed to the vast types of special events, from social events, corporate meetings, festivals, conventions and large sporting events. Students will develop essential event management skills such as planning, assessment, communication, critical thinking.

This program will explore current trends and technologies in the event industry, including; software applications, food and beverage, PR and sponsorship logistics, risk management,  business tools and more. Students will gain hands-on experience in planning, marketing and executing events.
