In your final semester, you will work on an intensive team project or field placement. • Field placements in Security Operations Centres (SOCs) as security analysts, conducting analysis and protection against cyber threats in real time
• Field placements within financial and forensic firms, working real cases
• Field placements within corporate security departments and information security service providers

The Office Administration- Executive diploma is a fast-track program that can be completed in one calendar year (3 semesters). As a graduate of the Personal Support Worker program, you will provide support services to individuals and families in need of assistance. You can start the program in September or January or May.

This two-semester Personal Support Worker program may particularly appeal to those re-entering the workforce. In total, you'll get approximately 400 hours of relevant theory and approximately 300 hours of real-life, clinical training. The focus of this program is on:

The third and final semester of the Museum Management and Curatorship program is a challenging, full-time, four-month internship during the spring and summer. This unpaid, curriculum-based internship will give you hands-on work experience where you will put all your hard work and studies into motion. Students should be prepared to relocate for the internship, to pay full tuition, and be self-supporting. You will negotiate your own internship with faculty assistance. Some students have gone abroad for the internship, for example, to Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The Biotechnology - Advanced program prepares students to analyze forensic, DNA and other medical applications data in automated lab environments.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
With a career in the field of biotechnology with an emphasis in forensics, you have diverse employment opportunities, from working in biological research to quality assurance, to medical or health-related fields, tracking down criminals or identifying victims of crime. Laboratory related occupations are among the fastest growing occupations in the economy. With specialization in forensics and biotechnology, this program is unique and its graduates are in demand in this emerging field. This advanced diploma program would traditionally take six semesters to complete. However, the program has been designed in an accelerated, compressed format, to provide six semesters of course work over five semesters.

In their final, fifth semester, students can complete their full-time internship from April to August - giving graduates the advantage of getting out into the workforce faster. (Should they so choose, students may defer the summer internship until the fall.) Courses in the program integrate theory and practice opportunities in labs and practice settings. Graduates will be critical thinkers with problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills and a solid foundation in forensic/DNA/medical applications.

WORK EXPERIENCE
A 15-week internship will immerse students in the work culture of a lab environment, give them the opportunity to seek experience in an area of specialization, and promote networking and awareness of the industry and job potential. Students will work with their faculty in selecting a placement that will be right for them.

The Trades Fundamentals pathway program provides a sampler of basic level construction and trades skills, while you earn course credit towards future trades studies.

TRADES FUNDAMENTALS PROGRAM OPTIONS
Upon successful completion of this Ontario College Certificate, you will have earned credit for first semester of the following programs, and can pathway into semester two of these Fleming College programs:

You will also have earned some transfer credits, reducing your program workload, if you choose to enter our Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or Electrical Techniques program.

The Electrical Techniques program provides pathways into a variety of occupations or training in the electrical industry. Develop basic competencies in electricity, network cabling and electrical system installation.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The electrical field is growing in response to increased construction work in Ontario and other provinces. The 2-semester (30 week) Electrical Techniques program will provide you with the introductory and fundamental skills and knowledge to assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in residential, commercial and construction settings.

• The program provides several pathways into a variety of occupations and other college training programs in the electrical industry, including electronics, electrical mechanical and electrical apprenticeship.
• You will develop basic competencies in electricity, network cabling and electrical system installation.
• Related instruction in mathematics, prints and installations, safety and trade calculations is included to meet employers' qualifications.

Students in the Electrical Techniques Certificate program take the same courses as the first two semesters of the Electrical Engineering Technician diploma program. As a result, graduates of the Electrical Techniques program can enter into third semester of Electrical Engineering Technician (subject to enrolment capacity).

The 2-year Global Business Management graduate certificate provides students with in-depth business expertise, concrete managerial skills and an appreciation of global cultures and traditions. The program equips graduates for career success in domestic and international settings. The program includes a capstone work-integrated project that provides students with first-hand exposure to - and experience in - the Canadian work environment.

Program Highlights
The Global Business Management program builds on the foundations of the International Business Management program with an additional year of intensive instruction in advanced business topics. There is an emphasis on skills such as leadership, critical analysis and strong business communication, high performance teamwork and effective presentations-- all required for students to become successful managers. Students get to put these skills into practice with a capstone Applied Project where they work with industry and community partners to gain real-world professional experience.

Instrumentation technicians commission, install, calibrate, maintain and repair complex measurement and control systems used in a variety of process control applications.

This four-semester Ontario College Diploma program will prepare you for a hands-on, exciting and rewarding career in emerging engineering and scientific fields. This STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) based program helps future proof your career options with valuable and in-demand skills in electronics, sensing, programming, device networking, instrument calibration and science used in today's processing and manufacturing facilities world-wide. WORK EXPERIENCE
Students in this program may have the opportunity to apply to paid summer co-ops. Examples of companies that have sponsored co-ops include: OPG, SGS, Andritz Hydro, Horizon Plastics, and Opcode Systems. The co-op runs during the summer between years one and two. This co-op allows you to build on your academic education, experience the work environment and make valuable contacts in one of the many diverse industries requiring instrumentation technician professionals.

As a Cultural Heritage Conservation and Management specialist, you will learn a wide range of techniques to save the fragile reminders and markers of the past - preserved for future generations to learn from and enjoy.

Program Highlights
The fundamental role of the conservation professional is to preserve and conserve, as appropriate, cultural property for present and future generations. We have a lot to learn from the experiences and events of people who have gone before us. However, we can't learn much from the past if we don't have records of it. Imagine how much history is lost to us when an ancient artifact is destroyed by perfectly well-meaning people who want to save it.

This two-year Ontario College graduate certificate is an intensive, fast-paced learning experience that you will undertake in four consecutive semesters. You'll start your classes in September and spend your first three semesters, during the fall, winter and summer, at the college. Following your introduction to the field of conservation, you will gain valuable, applied and skills-based experience in the care and handling of most common museum materials, including ceramics, glass, stone, metals, wooden objects, leather and proteinaceous materials, textiles, works of art on paper, books, archival materials, photographs and modern materials. Updated curriculum reflects a focus on hands-on skills, experienced based learning, practical applications, beyond best practices and professional standards rooted in ethical applications. Once you've learned the theory and practical skills, you'll treat museum artifacts from local, regional, and national sites. Complementary courses, workshops, assignments, and community-based projects will offer off campus opportunities to practice conservation methods. A full-time, unpaid, curriculum-based internship in your final semester (September to December) provides an invaluable learning and work experience.
